One-Ten Highlights

Our mission is to serve those seeking refuge from homelessness, domestic risk and human trafficking by donating one mattress for every ten we sell to those in need. To date, we’ve been able to donate more than 32,000 mattresses through 1,000+ giving partners. This is the kind of purchasing power we want to lend our customers — one that improves their lives as well as the life of another.

World Homeless Day

10/10/2018

On October 10, World Homeless Day, the Leesa team joined multi-gold medalist Aly Raisman and a group of young social changemakers to hold six giving events in six cities around the country, all in an effort to raise awareness for homelessness in America. For a single day, instead of one mattress given for every ten sold, we upped our commitment to one-for-one.

Tap the pins on the map, or navigate with the arrows below to learn more about our experience in each city.

Los Angeles, CA

To spread our mission — and the love — coast-to-coast, we travelled to Los Angeles and provided rest, rejuvenation and hope for those in need. With help from compassionate individuals and organizations, we were able to grow our total mattresses donated on the day to 861.

Salt Lake City, UT

Seeing the connections a meal can create, Chase founded Project Empathy as a way to aid the homeless of Salt Lake City. He sits down and shares a meal with these people, listening to their stories and finding out how he can help with their hardships.

Chicago, IL

Through his “blessing bags” of toiletry items, such as soap, tissues and socks, and his Project I Am Organization, Jakhil is helping the homeless in his city get back on their feet. Since becoming a social entrepreneur, he’s donated over 16,000 of these thoughtful blessing bags.

Baltimore, MD

Tyler has already started a business and is helping homeless veterans at such a young age. Through his business Kid Time Enterprises, LLC., Tyler packs bags full of emergency items and hands them out to homeless veterans at countless shelters.

New York, NY

“Half a million people are experiencing homelessness in the U.S. alone. It leaves me speechless. To be able to see all the great things Leesa is doing, it makes me think and it makes me really inspired. Each of us can make a change."

Aly Raisman, Multi-Gold Medalist

Cambridge, MA

Right from his wagon, young Liam is helping the homeless in his area by providing much-needed meals and kindness. Liam’s Lunches of Love helps fill hungry bellies with food, but the positive, handwritten messages fill hearts in need with hope.

From One Hand to Another Partnership

5/2018—8/2018

Leesa spent the summer with Pharrell Williams’ From One Hand To Another program to mentor at-risk and low-income students. We hosted the students at our headquarters, talked to them about building a business and at the end of the summer, each one of the 1,300+ kids went home with a new mattress.

When you look up at the stars, and you see how expansive the universe is, you should know that you can do anything. There’s no ceiling when you look up, so there should be no ceiling when you think.

Phoenix Dream Center x West Elm Makeover

7/26/2018

We have worked with the Phoenix Dream Center since 2015 to give 1,000+ beds to their residential programs and Thrive Foster Care Prevention Program. Thrive’s mission is to ensure that loving families in Arizona are able to stay together through provided housing, food and beds. This year, with the help of West Elm, we went beyond mattress donations to give several families a complete house makeover to give them a beautiful, safe and secure place to call home.

Leesa Dreams Project

10/2017—12/2017

We embarked on a ten-city tour with local giving events at each that amounted to 1,500 mattresses donated. Over the ten-week span, we encountered ten extraordinary partners — old and new — delivering mattresses, volunteering our time to support their social impact efforts and learning from their acts of true selflessness.

Check out the video gallery for more information on each of our adventures with West Elm:

One-Community Highlights

With our social mission at the core of what we do, we want to ensure that all Leesa employees have time to spend on causes close to their own heart. Leesa is proud to commit one percent of each of our employee’s time to volunteering to local causes in our communities. Whether it’s a local food bank, homeless shelter or worthwhile charity, our One-Community program is embraced and practiced company-wide and it continues to deepen the connection between our team, community and mission.

One-Earth Highlights

Leesa’s social impact doesn’t just stem from the mattresses we donate and the people in need we help; it’s rooted in making the planet a better place for us all. Together with the Arbor Day Foundation, we have planted 255,000 trees.

In celebration and support of Arbor Day, we created a social media campaign that gave our followers the opportunity to make the planet a little greener, right from their smart device. During the entire month of April, every time the #arborday hashtag was used with Leesa tagged, we planted an additional sapling — totaling 50,000 trees!
